Does God Love the Sinner and Hate the Sin?

Let’s look at this doctrine and open the scriptures to see whether it is of God or of man:

“For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man” (Psalm 5:4-6)

“The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
(Psalm 11:4-6)

“The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.”
(Malachi 1: 1-4)

“God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.” (Psalm 7:11)

So does He love the sinner? No, actually, He does not. Not only does God not love the wicked that commit iniquity, He doesn’t even like them. He actually despises them. This false doctrine of God loving the sinner and hating the sin is nothing more than a blast of wind, a wives tale to soothe the conscience of the guilty.

Does this raise the bar a bit? Perhaps this might motivate people a bit to stop committing adultery, stop lying, cheating, fornicating, backbiting, evil speaking and all those things that God hates and one last thing, it isn’t hate to speak of the things that God hates. It’s love, it’s charity, it’s the pure Love of Christ to call the dead out of hell.
